Structural properties of minimal strong digraphs versus trees
Producción CientíficaIn this article, we focus on structural properties of minimal strong digraphs
(MSDs). We carry out a comparative study of properties of MSDs versus (undirected) trees. For some of these properties, we give the matrix version, regarding
nearly reducible matrices. We give bounds for the coefficients of the characteristic polynomial corresponding to the adjacency matrix of trees, and we conjecture
bounds for MSDs. We also propose two different representations of an MSD in
terms of trees (the union of a spanning tree and a directed forest; and a double
directed tree whose vertices are given by the contraction of connected Hasse
diagrams).Ministerio de Economía, Industria y Competitividad ( grant MTM2015-65764-C3-1-P
Structural and spectral properties of minimal strong digraphs
Abstract
In this article, we focus on structural and spectral properties of minimal strong digraphs (MSDs). We carry out a comparative study of properties of MSDs versus trees. This analysis includes two new properties. The first one gives bounds on the coefficients of characteristic polynomials of trees (double directed trees), and conjectures the generalization of these bounds to MSDs. As a particular case, we prove that the independent coemcient of the characteristic polynomial of a tree or an MSD must be — 1, 0 or 1. For trees, this fact means that a tree has at most one
perfect matching; for MSDs, it means that an MSD has at most one covering by disjoint cycles. The property states that every MSD can be decomposed in a rooted spanning tree and a forest of reversed rooted trees, as factors. In our opinión, the analogies described suppose a significative change in the traditional point of view about this class of digraphs

Analysis of Security in Big Data Related to Healthcare
Big data facilitates the processing and management of huge amounts of data. In health, the main information source is the electronic health record with others being the Internet and social media. Health-related data refers to storage in big data based on and shared via electronic means. Why are criminal organisations interested in this data? These organisations can blackmail people with information related to their health condition or sell the information to marketing companies, etc. This article analyses healthcare-related big data security and proposes different solutions. There are different techniques available to help preserve privacy such as data modification techniques, cryptographic methods and protocols for data sharing, query auditing methods and others that are analysed in this research work. Although there remains much to do in the field of big data security, research in this area is moving forward, both from a scientific and commercial point of view
THE DECISION OF INVESTING IN INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY IN SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES
A diagnostic tool on the decision of investing in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in small and medium enterprises (SME) suggested in Judith Redoli et al. (2008), showed its usefulness helping to understand how an enterprise uses ICT and ‘‘how’’ and ‘‘when’’ a company should incorporate new technological elements. The model was applied successfully in the assessment of 500 SME; as a result a technology deployment project was given to each enterprise in which a priority project was also defined. This short paper presents the second part of that study: a second assessment was made to those SME oriented to detect whether the enterprises on which the analysis was conducted did achieve the deployment of the technologies identified within six months, and the relationship between this fact and the existence of an associated grant. On the other hand, in this research the correlation between the priority project established in the first assessment and the one that was finally completed was demonstrated
Fe(II) spin crossover complexes of a derivative of 2,6-bis(pyrazol-1-yl)pyridine (1-bpp) functionalized with a carboxylic acid in the 3-pyridyl position
The preparation of a new bis(pyrazol-1-yl)pyridine (1-bpp) derivative functionalized with a carboxylic acid in the 3-pyridyl position, bpp3-COOH ligand is reported together with the structure and spin-crossover (SCO) properties of [FeII(bpp3-COOH)2](ClO4)2·0.5EtOH·0.5H2O (1). Magnetic properties of 1 indicate that LS is favored. Desolvation leads to a gradual and incomplete SCO. Solvated and desolvated compounds show LIESST effect
[ENG] This communication presents a new research-oriented learning methodology and evaluation. The students carry out a scientific paper on the block: Information Systems in Telemedicine in a subject named “Complementos de Telemática III” in the last year of Telecommunication Engineering. This activity is performed in four academic courses and students show much interest in it. Most of the works reflect a
high degree of work and researching oriented telemedicine. Technical contents,
adequate format and global vision in the paper are considerate for evaluation. Initially the students find difficult to find research articles
